Audio is out of sync with video

You can move the sound earlier or later for each channel. The app remembers the shift for the channel.

  1. While the channel plays, open the player menu (press OK on the remote, or tap the middle of the video).
  2. Choose Audio shift (with the default interface it is in More, section Playback; with an older interface style in Parameters).
  3. Pick a new value, in milliseconds: steps of 50, 100 and 200 to 1000 earlier or later, or 0 to reset. Positive values play the sound later, negative earlier. The list opens again with the new value, so you can adjust it step by step.

The first shift on a channel playing with the hardware codecs restarts the channel once.

Codecs and limits

Audio shift is not offered with the hardware codecs when Media track tunneling directly to output device is set to Yes (in Settings > Player > Setup codecs preferences, or for the channel in the Switch codec menu). Set it to auto detected or No.

If the shift has no effect while the sound goes to a soundbar or receiver in surround format, turn on Use software audio decoder for the channel (see Volume does not change on some channels).

Sound late only through a soundbar or receiver

If the sound is late only when it goes through a soundbar or receiver, fix it there: use the audio delay or lip sync setting of that device, or of the TV. It then works for every app, not only this one.
